Tour of Mellon Arena:

Frank Eberly of the Mellon Arena Facility Staff will conduct our tour that will highlight the refrigeration system of the ice plant and other arena MEP systems. On the ice during the playoffs – what could be better? The tour may also give our members and students an inside look at the Penguins’ behind the scenes facilities such as their locker rooms, training areas and press rooms.

The April’s tour will be a great opportunity to get the see the Mellon Arena before our new Pittsburgh Arena opens for the 2010 season.

Unfortunately, the tour will be limited to the first 40 RSVP’s and is pending the Pittsburgh Penguins playoff schedule; meaning that if the Penguins have a scheduled playoff game on April 21, we will be forced to cancel the tour, however, we will proceed with our dinner and presentation later that evening.

Be sure to RSVP early!

Dinner Presentation to include:

  • Invited guests:  Regional Director Dan Petway and Student Activities RVC Paul Petrilli of ASHRAE Region III
  • Grove City students and advisor Dr. Bardy will discuss their ASHRAE Grant Project
