The cost of fuel cells will be discussed as well as the various types of fuel cells commercially available and their applications. Government incentive programs will also be addressed. More on our Speaker: As Senior Vice President of Marketing for LOGANEnergy, Keith Spitznagel is responsible for the development of new fuel cell projects as well as introducing current and prospective customers to the wide range of services available from LOGANEnergy. Spitznagel has been involved with new power generation technologies and alternative energy applications for more than 21 years.
Since 1992 he has managed the installation of 20 fuel cells totaling over four megawatts of fuel cell generating capacity. These installations include the Riverview Center Nursing Home in Pittsburgh, the first commercial fuel cell in Pennsylvania and fourth in North America. He also installed eleven 200-kilowatt fuel cells at Department of Defense installations throughout North America including the United States Military Academy at West Point, Pine Bluff Arsenal, the Jacksonville Naval Air Station and Barksdale Air Force Base.
Prior to joining LOGANEnergy, Spitznagel was Director of Operations at Sure Power Corporation where he was the Project Manager of Sure Power’s 800 KW fuel cell based ultra-high availability power system at the First National Bank of Omaha. He also supervised the installation of the Sure Power 400 KW fuel cell based test stand.
As past chairman of the North American Fuel Cell Owners Group he is widely recognized within the fuel cell development community, where he has co-written and presented a number of technical papers.
