Boiler Basics will briefly discuss the history and the evolution of heating systems, both steam and hydronic.  Learn how heating systems have evolved from the very early steam systems using Hartford Loops to the more high efficient hydronic systems of today. Unravel the truth about boiler efficiency and refresh yourself with good design practices with this informative presentation.

    Speaker Bio:
Mr. Morgan has been in the boiler industry for over forty-six years, and he is currently the Northeastern Regional Manager for Raypak Inc., a copper fin boiler manufacturer. While the majority of his career has been in sales of cast iron boilers, he originally started his career with a steel boiler manufacturer, designing anthracite stoker fired boilers, as well as oil and gas fired equipment.

Mr. Morgan’s experience includes over 13 years of presentations to ASHRAE Chapters and Universities throughout the Northeast including Michigan State University and Cooper Union University.

Last time we met, Andy Ondish from Grundfos Pump Co. gave us a great presentation on variable speed boosting systems and vertical multi-staged pumps. A special thanks goes out to Andy and all those who attended. We happily received a larger than expected crowd due mostly to Dave Meredith and his band of Penn State Students!

Many great things happened at the end of 2006, and there are many more great things to come in 2007. Look for my January e-newsletter in the next few days to hear about all of the exciting news.  If you are not receiving the e-newsletter by now, contact me at cconroy@astorino.com.
